The inspiration for Belin gin was found at the Petriot Distillery in the salt corners of the Primorska region, where the sun and sea have been giving salt workers unique Piran salt for centuries.

The main botanicals in Belin gin are sage, savory, and citrus. For a special touch and Slovenian flavor, a pinch of Piran salt is added to the gin, bringing a unique inspiration of the sea. The story behind the name is also connected to salt. Belin is an ancient Slavic sun god who illuminated the salt fields with sun rays and brought abundance of salt.

Belin is the first Slovenian gin made using the bathtub method. It differs from traditional gin in that in bathtub gin, the botanicals are steeped in the distillate afterward. Therefore, the final product is tinted with the natural color of the herbs.

Belin received a gold award in London in the category Signature Botanical.

In the category of color-changing gins (Colour-Changing Gin), Adriana triumphed, a blue-colored gin that changes color upon contact with acid (tonic).

Adriana gin was inspired by the legend of the formation of the Adriatic Sea and its blueness. The main botanicals in Adriana gin, in addition to the classic juniper berries, coriander, and angelica, are also rosemary and thyme. The mineral note characteristic of all Petriot Distillery gins is provided by seaweed.

Both products can be found in our gin store.
